Hi Folks,

I was just meeting with jennifer jorczak (public policy field manager / planned
parenthood of indiana / 200 s. meridian st., ste 400 indianapolis 46225 /
317.637.4362 / http://www.ppin.org / jennifer.jorczak at ppin.org) and she said
she would be eager to speak about why the ICLU is standing up for them.

As I now understand it, the ICLU and Planned Parenthood contend that state
prosecutors are attempting to execute search warrants on PPIN records (of
minors seeking PPIN services) for reasons other than those presented to the
courts: they have little or no real hope or evidence of finding any crimes.
These state's attorneys are in reality hoping public "outings" of who minors
seek advice or contraception devices from PPIN will discourage them from
seeking such help, and make it too difficult for PPIN to provide these services
to minors.

Last month I went to the Republican call-out and heard Speaker Bosma denigrate
Ken Falk and the ICLU by name. I think we need to do what we can to back up the
ICLU efforts here.

Mike
