[icmap] Donate or lend CDs for Gitanjali

Hi,
 
this is reg the CDs for donation to gitanjali ... just last week was
thinking of giving CDs either to the Purdue media library or the West
Lafayette Library ... there are about 25 or so single or double CDs
consisting mostly of south indian/carnatic classical and a few bhajans,
carnatic/western attempts.  Don't feel upto typing up the names of the
CDs now.  May be I can send the CDs to Chandrasekar's office at purdue
(chandy at ecn.purdue.edu) tomorrow and one of you can email him and go
look at them and take whichever ones you want.
 
We have not been organized about cataloguing the CDs and are not in the
mood for it right now ... but if you will be interested in carnatic
concerts of artistes both current and yesteryear ones (most of them are
sets of 2, 3 or 4 CDs ... released by sabhas in india, they are the old
audio format not mp3) then may be one of you can come home to take a
look ... there are more than 200 CDs in this category.  Also there are
original concert CDs released by organizations that conduct concerts in
the USA (not sure if you consider these to be ok for gitanjali), some 40
odd hindustani and about 10 bhajans/abhang ones.  You are welcome to
come home to take a look to decide if you want any of these as donation
or for borrowing (we don't live too far from campus ... across from the
west laf high school on grant st)
